Method of Dual Extraction:

1. Using hot water (90–100°C) to separate beta-glucans and sugars that dissolve in water from mycelium biomass

2. Ethanol Extraction (50–95% ethanol): This method gets rid of sterols and lipophilic triterpenes.

3. Concentration and Spray Drying—Drying at low temperatures keeps the biological properties of the material.

4. Particle Size Reduction—Milled to 80–100 mesh for best dispersion
