Product Description

Reishi Mushroom Extract Powder (Ganoderma lucidum) – Standardized Botanical Ingredient

Reishi Mushroom Extract Powder is a pure plant-based ingredient that comes from Ganoderma lucidum cells that were extracted in two different ways. Polysaccharides (10–50%) and beta-glucans (≥10%) are both found in the same amount in this standardised extract. This means it can be used in makeup, useful foods, and dietary supplements.

What's important:

Dual extraction with full spectrum (water and ethanol)

The particles should be 80 to 100 mesh for even mixing.

Chitin-reduced to make it more bioavailable

The building is approved by NSF GMP, FSSC22000, Kosher, and Halal.

Extraction & Processing

Method of Dual Extraction:

1. Using hot water (90–100°C) to separate beta-glucans and sugars that dissolve in water from mycelium biomass

2. Ethanol Extraction (50–95% ethanol): This method gets rid of sterols and lipophilic triterpenes.

3. Concentration and Spray Drying—Drying at low temperatures keeps the biological properties of the material.

4. Particle Size Reduction—Milled to 80–100 mesh for best dispersion

By getting rid of up to 85% of the indigestible chitin cell walls, this process makes compounds easier to get to than with raw mushroom powder.

Formulation Applications

Things that go with food

For tablets and capsules, a high bulk density of 0.45 to 0.55 g/mL means that each size 0 capsule can hold 400 to 500 mg.

Blends of powders: The particles in protein powders and vegetable mixes are too small for them to settle.

If the temperature is above 70°C, the polysaccharide part will dissolve in water. However, the triterpenes need ethanol to help them breakdown.

Consuming functional foods and drinks

Toffee and coffee mixes stay stable at 100°C, and the earthy taste goes well with the roasted notes.

Energy bars: The product stays stable on the shelf because it has a low moisture level (less than 5%).

Functional broths: It doesn't settle to the bottom of hot liquids when you mix it with them.

Things that go into cosmetics

Antioxidants called triterpenes can be added to creams and serums at a level of 0.5 to 2%.

The humectant polysaccharides mix with water at a rate of 1% to 5%. This is good for masks and gels.

Technical support: Our team helps with recipes by giving advice on things like how to test Reishi Mushroom Extract Powder solubility, how to test for stability, and how to fill out the necessary forms.

FAQ

Q: How do mycelium and fruiting body extracts differ?

A: The compound ratios of mycelium differ from fruiting bodies. Controlled growth conditions provide consistent beta-glucan content (≥10%) in our mycelium-based extract year-round.

Q: How should I incorporate this powder into cold beverages?

A: Pre-dissolve 1:10 in 80-90°C water and add to cold base. Disperse with lecithin or gum arabic.

Q: Do you offer custom specifications?

A: Yes. If your purchase is over 500 kg, our R&D team may create unique extract ratios or standardise to a minimum of 30% polysaccharides. Usually 60–90 days.

Q: What is your return/refund policy?

A: In original packaging, unopened items can be returned within 30 days. If findings depart >10% from CoA criteria, third-party lab testing resolves quality concerns.

Q: Can you provide regulatory support for international markets?

A: FDA (GRAS), EU Novel Food evaluations, and Health Canada NHP applications require our paperwork. Customers must have regulatory permission.

Q: Which techniques measure beta-glucan?

A: We employ the Megazyme enzymatic assay (K-BGLU) to quantify (1→3),(1→6)-β-D-glucans following AOAC Method 995.16.
